Sheri L. Foster Lamp, 62, died Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was born June 29, 1949, to Arlyn and Rosemary (Scott) Foster in Des Moines.

Sheri worked as an OB nurse for Broadlawns and Des Moines General for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and playing cards.

Sheri is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Joe) Verdugo and Shelley Lamp; grandchildren, Andy and Nicole Verdugo and Brandon Lamp; sisters, Sandy (Gary) Scholes and Paula (Harlan) Dunaway; step-brothers, Jake (Diana) Guile and Joe (Donna) Guile; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Fred.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Avon Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service Friday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions will be received by the family.
