Janet Hinrichs

Janet Hinrichs, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at The Shores in Pleasant Hill. Services will be Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 10 am, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 1st Avenue North in Altoona 50009. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 pm, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona 50009.

Born November 26, 1934, in Norway, Iowa, Janet was the daughter of Noble and Alice Brockschink. She graduated from Norway High School in 1953. On July 15, 1956, she married Reverend Bertrand Hinrichs. Her hobbies included stained glass, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by two sons, Randall and Steven (Kelly) Hinrichs; daughter, Paula (John) Hansen; four grandchildren, Mackenzie and Hilary Hinrichs and Molly and Bryan Hansen; two sisters, Nola (Henry) Moser and Nancy (Gene) Vincent; and brother-in-law, Robert Miller. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Joanne Miller.
