Jeffrey Alan “JJ” Janic, Jr. was carried home by the angels on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 after complications from surgery. JJ was born on September 5, 1991 in Des Moines to Tanya and Jeffrey Janic.

JJ attended Smouse School and Ruby Van Meter High School in Des Moines. He participated proudly in the Special Olympics. JJ touched the lives of so many people; he truly was an angel here on earth. JJ’s smile and personality could brighten and warm any room. He was our “Superman”.

JJ leaves behind his mom and dad; his sister and best friend, Danika; grandparents, Mike and Nancy Grubb and Steve and Myrna Janic; many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandma Brugioni, great-grandpa Grubb and his aunt Michelle Grubb.

JJ’s family would like to sincerely “Thank” the teachers and staff at Smouse, Ruby Van Meter, Childserve and the homecare nurses for the love and devotion they gave our JJ.

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, WDM. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends on Friday, April 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
