Patty Burton, 82, passed away at her home Sunday, April 15, 2012.

Patty was born February 28, 1930, in Des Moines, to Murn and Ruth Parks. She graduated from East High School in 1948 and married Bill Burton shortly after. Patty loved her family and friends and enjoyed life to its fullest! She was an active member of BPO Does #25 and a great supporter of Elks Lodge #98.

Patty is survived by her son, Bob (Rita) Burton; granddaughter, Sharon (Rick) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Kayla and John; and a host of other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; son, Jack; and sister, Carol.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
