Bessie Ely

Bessie Ely, 83, passed away Monday April 16, 2012, at Mercy Hospice of Johnston, surrounded by her family. Bessie was always known for her love of her animals and Angels. Bessie was married for forty-seven years, and raised eight children as a homemaker.

Bessie is survived by her children: Gary Ely, Ron Ely, Sharon McLeland, Sandra Wright, Debra Kirkham, Vicky Reber, Ed Ely, and Mike Ely, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Ely, Sr.

There will be a graveside service to honor her memory at 1 p.m., Thursday April 19, 2012, at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
