Justin A. Nimmo, 15, passed away at his home Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was born February 13, 1997. He was an exceptional child and an outstanding student at Valley Southwoods who loved sports, video games, the outdoors and his black lab, “Jag.”
Justin is survived by his mother and step-father, Jenifer and David Grissom; sisters, Jaiden Wallander, Kassidy Grissom, Samantha Nimmo and Tamilee Duff; brothers, Koelten and Tyler Grissom; and his grandparents, Carolyn and Wayne Livengood, Barbara and Vernon Busch and Marieta and David Grissom, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Gregg Nimmo, and grandfather, Howard Nimmo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at West Des Moines United Methodist Church, 8th & Grand in West Des Moines, followed by burial at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday, at the church.

Justin was my greatest friend for three years strait, it was jacob jordan and justin and me. I still cant stop thinking about what happend that friday morning at school the person i herd it from fist was jacob and he was walking with jordan, jacob said i think justin killed himself my heart sank and fell into a deep black endless hole

I had a dream about justin last night. I woke up crying and did not stop for another four hours. But seeing as how he wanted to leave, who were we to stop him? He really is in a better place now. He can be with his father now. I wanted to say something to prove he is not forgotten.

My heart is heavy at the lost of such a beautiful soul, your family will be in thoughts and prayer throughout this trying time. Justin and Jordan were best friends and shared many memories that Jordan will carry with him forever. I will miss Justin coming to my house and walking through the door "Hi Mom" followed by a big hug. I want to thank your family for Justin who touched my sons life with his bright star. The lost is truly felt deeply by many.
