Agnes Fisher

Agnes M. Fisher, 100, was born January 10, 1912, in Enterprise, Iowa, the daughter of Matt and Antonia (Buban) Kovacevich. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, June 18, 2012, at Bishop Drumm Care Center.

Agnes retired from the Department of Transportation as a rate analyst. She was a longtime member of Visitation Catholic Church. Agnes enjoyed quilting, gardening, and crocheting. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Sharon Reid; son, Ron (Marlene) Fisher; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Fisher; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren,and one baby girl on the way; other loving relatives, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Conrad R. Fisher; son, Bob Fisher; son-in-law, Bob Reid; three sisters; five brothers, and great-granddaughter, Haley Kay Reid.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, where a rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012, at Our Lady of the Americas Visitation Chapel, 1271 E. 9th Street, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Drumm Our Lady of Peace Chapel, or the Retired Des Moines Firefighters Fund, in loving memory of Agnes Fisher. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bishop Drumm for the love and support that was given to Mom and our family.
