Roma Padgett

Roma (Jean) Padgett, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. She was born July 15, 1930, in Garfield, Iowa, to Harry and Elizabeth (Newton) Deaver.

Roma was a member of Sunshine Open Bible Church in Des Moines. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and watching TV.

Roma is survived by her children, Linda (Russ) Sparks, Don, Jr. (Martha), Padgett and William (Diann) Padgett; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Harry Deaver, Fred Deaver, Barbara Ewing, and Mary Gott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Padgett, Sr.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Sunshine Open Bible Church, 2130 Easton Blvd, in Des Moines, with visitation held one hour prior to service time. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to HCI Care Services of Central Iowa, in loving memory of Roma.
