Mary Jo Goheen

Mary Jo Goheen, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center.

Mary Jo was born July 28, 1940 in Melrose, Iowa to John and Leona Kasper. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and attending their activities. Mary Jo also enjoyed working in her yard, going to garage sales, crocheting, gambling and traveling.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Jerry; children, Scott (Julia) Goheen, Brad (Karie) Goheen, Brent (Becki Brommel) Goheen and Shannon (Shane) Fetters; grandchildren, Logan, Drake, Sabrina, Sydney and Delaney; siblings, Jackie (Jonelle) Kasper, Jim (Joni) Kasper, Kate Beary and Dave (June) Kasper; brother-in-law, James (Lisa) Goheen; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ss John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Ave. S. in Altoona followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
