Armandito Perez-Pena was born August 6, 1982. He passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters, Staijha and Destinia “Dessi”; sisters, Maria Duff (Dan) and Cassandra Segovia; aunts, Elizabeth Adams, Marilyn Sherwood, Katherine Geerling, Deanna Baylor, Cathi Hutt and Marcy Hutt; uncle, Elmer Miles; three nieces; five nephews; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Vicki Lyons; and sister-in-law, Becky Lyons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Segovia.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 with funeral immediately following at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Perez-Pena family in care of the funeral home.

I want to send all my love, thoughts and prayers to Dawn, Staijha and Dessi. I miss Cindy on a daily basis, which brings along great memories of Dito, Maria and Cassandra...just wish I had gotten to know all the rest of you better. Sending all my love to you. I am sorry this happened to this wonderful husband father and one of my best friends. Dawn just to let you know I am here for you and girls if you ever need me you know how to reach me never be afraid to contact me cause I really miss Armando and how great a friend he was to me I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him at work and on off time . My prayers go out to you and the girls.

I am very sad to hear about Armando's passing. I have never forgotten all the great times we had as part of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. I will never forget my "Little Brother" RIP Armando.
