Dennis Wadsworth

Dennis Kenneth Wadsworth, 61, was born February 8, 1953, to Kenneth and Patricia Wadsworth in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on July 10, 2014.
Dennis was a hard worker throughout his life. He and his former spouse owned and operated Action Delivery Service in Des Moines for 24 years. He also owned DKW Home Appraisals in Myrtle Beach. During his free time, Dennis enjoyed fishing in Canada, his Corvette, and walking on the beach.
Dennis is survived by his children, Gregory (Amy) Wadsworth and Sarah (Jason) Shives; grandchildren, Dawsyn Wadsworth, Julius Wadsworth, Preston Shives, and Colton Shives; mother, Patricia Wadsworth; former spouse, Nancy Wadsworth; as well as a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wadsworth; and sister, Linda Wadsworth.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

I grew up with Dennis in the Oak Park neighborhood like many others writing here. I was lucky that Dennis was one of my best friends. He was a very happy person that saw the best in people. Dennis, you are remembered. Peace to his family.

To the family of Dennis are thoughts and prayer, Dennis was the most honest, kindest person I ever had the opportunity to work with. So sorry to read about Dennis....I grew up with Dennis in the oak park area besides going to school with him. He was always kind and a good guy all the way around. My thoughts are prayers are with the family at this sad time

So long my brother. We were looking forward to seeing you this weekend. It was always a treat to sit and talk about the past and try to figure out the future. You will always be in my heart and mind. Say hi to all our friends and family up there. Peace my brother.
