Lance Houston

Lance Arthur Houston, 64, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born September 13, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa. He is survived by his children, Brian Houston, Melissa Simpson, Tara (John) Aunspach, and Jennifer (Blake) Davis; grandchildren, Ashlie Baldwin, Zagory Harris, Timothy Groce, Samantha (Adam) Snook, Michaela Aunspach, Kelly Hoffman, and Tyler Davis; great-grandsons, Hunter Snook and Andrew Hoffman; and sisters, Mary Lou (Kent) Wildrick and Christine Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Esther (Mudge) Houston; sister, Jackie Troutman; and brother, Craig Houston.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial with military honors will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery following the funeral.
