Denise McCreery

Denise McCreery, 64, was born July 1, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa to Martha and Robert Comegys Sr. She passed away on July 26, 2014, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
Denise graduated from Saydel High School in 1968, and was an executive house keeper at Hotel Savory, Embassy Suites, and Fleur Heights. She also owned and operated her own cleaning business for many years. Denise enjoyed working in her yard and being with her family.
Denise is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Lee; son, Larry Joe (Michelle) McCreery; grandchildren, Robyn McCreery and Brandon McCreery; step grandchildren, Amanda Lage, Danielle Jones and Jeremy Jones; three step great-grandchildren; her mother, Martha Comegys, and brother, Robert (Donna) Comegys Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Comegys Sr.; sister, Robin Comegys; and two brothers, Donald and Andrew Comegys.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Berwick Cemetery in Berwick, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Kidney Foundation in loving memory of Denise.

Denise was one of the finest ladies I ever met. I know that Don and Betty McCreery, Rhonda Hart, Sonja De Rose, and I will always remember her as a great person.
