John F. Schoonover, 68, passed away at his home Saturday, July 26, 2014. He was born January 6, 1946 in Des Moines to Frank and Arlene (Polen) Schoonover.
John is survived by his daughter, Stacey; siblings, Mary (Ronnie), Pat (Gary) and Frank (Pam). He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Patrick; and his sister, Diane Owens.
Per John’s request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.

John was a good man.Years ago when I was lost and had no direction in life he took me and my girlfriend into his home with no expectations for money,just because he was my cousin and a good human being.Gods speed John.I hope that your family and friends can remember the good things you did on this Earth
