Mark Jump

Mark Allen Jump, 48, passed away at his home Sunday, July 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Mark was born November 16, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri to Bobby and Charlene Jump. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mark received his bachelors in business administration and insurance from the University of Central Oklahoma. He worked for Principal Financial Group where he met his wife Angela Kelly. The two were married on August 26, 1994. Mark was an avid Saint Louis Cardinal and Oklahoma Sooner fan. He was a member of Grace Church.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Angela Kelly Jump; sons, Gregory and Ryan Jump; father, Bobby Jump; brother, Michael (Stephanie) Jump; sister, Tracy (Randy) Dean; and a host of extended family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Jump; grandparents, Charles and Kathleen Chamberlin and George and Katherine Jump; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 beginning at 4 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Fellowship, 2440 Capitol Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa.
A second visitation will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, Illinois followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the education fund for Mark’s children or Grace Church Benevolent Fund.

It was my honor and privilege to know and care for Mark during my time at UIHC. He was a wonderful man who blessed many lives. My heartfelt sympathy to Angie and the boys.

I worked with Mark at Principal just after he moved here. I remember him as one of the most personable people I ever met. Always a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. I was so sorry to hear of his passing and offer my sincere condolences to Angie and his whole family.

Mark was my Big Brother at the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Before that were were band geeks together at the John Marshall HS band. Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your family member. Mark was always a source of acceptance and peace when I was in the midsts of my life - I will miss him more than you know but I will do my best to celebrate his life and rejoice in the knowledge that I KNEW HIM when he was here!

Met Mark while I was in college at UCO when I pledged Kappa Sigma Fraternity where he was Alumni. He was always very kind and a good brother to all who knew him. I have heard many stories from his days as an Undergrad and I know he will be missed by many. My prayers go out to his wife & sons, may God be with you during this difficult time.

Mark was more than just a friend he was our Brother at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. His absence will leave a void that will be difficult to fill, but I also know that he is now resting in the arms of the Lord. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his Wife, sons and family. AEKDB Mark!!!
