Barbara Anne Ewing

Barbara Ewing, 71, was born February 20, 1943, to Joe and Pearl Lewis in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed away at Mercy Hospice in Johnston on July 30, 2014.
Barbara loved to shop, play Pandora’s Box, visit Walmart on a daily basis, and take camping trips with her husband.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Thomas Ewing; daughters, Brenda Trogdon, Sandra Trogdon, Tammy Trogdon, and Annette Trogdon; sons, Ron Trogdon and Rodney Trogdon; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sharon Walker; and brothers, Randy Lewis, Warren Lewis, Don Lewis, and Larry Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Virginia, and one brother.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Barbara.

So sorry to hear about Barbs passing. I was at her house so much growing up she was like a second mom to me. I wish I could have went to her service but I was out of town. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Our Deepest sympathy to the Immediate family and Friends! Sad to say we haven't seen Barb for several years but enjoyed the times we did spend together! Our Prayers are with all of you and wish i could come to the viewing but my son is very sick and i wont be able too! Love and Prayers Linda and Laresa!!

I am saddened to hear of Barb's passing. I remember her from my youth visiting my Aunt Wilma's. Barb was always kind and thoughtful with her young cousin and I will always remember her that way. My thoughts are with her family as they mourn their loss and try to go forward with their lives.
