Roger Surber, 61, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He was born April 26, 1953 to Dale and Lois Surber in Des Moines, Iowa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Feby; son, Hermie (Grace) Liwanagan; grandchildren, Eugene, and Feby Gene; mother, Lois; sister, Judy (Rod) Logan; brother, Rod (Rae) Surber; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial to follow at IOOF Cemetery in Indianola.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Roger.

Such a shock and i am so sorry to hear this news.
I was telling my son, brandon jones ( his father Jeff jones was a true friend to roger) that when Brandon was born back in 1980, Roger broke down in tears.... he was such an emotionally sweet soul!
I hope Roger was a Christ-centered man and that he would be with Jesus at this very moment!

So very sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I remember many years ago, as a child, sitting outside at Lois and Dale's house and having lots of laughs. Those are the best times to remember! I think they get us through the most difficult of times.
