Joseph “Joe” Thomas, 48, died Saturday, August 23, 2014.
Joe was born May 30, 1966 in Des Moines, Iowa to Donald and Mary Jo (Kaiser) Thomas. He was an East High graduate, class of 1984 and worked for Titan Tire for 10 years. Joe played in dart leagues, enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and was a Baltimore Ravens fan.
Joe is survived by his brothers, Mike (Rita) Siglin and Brett Siglin; niece and nephew, Lacey Siglin and Jeremy Siglin; great-niece, Emmy Rose; sister, Shelley (Randy) Kurtz; and aunt, Mary Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, also at the funeral home, with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa.

Sorry for your loss Joe will be missed at shop as he develop alot of friends at shop and was so proud of his collection of the Baltimore Ravens I will miss him alot we would have a soda and talk about our personal collections RIP Joe GO RAVENS

Mike and Brett sorry about your loss ... He was a great fishing buddy ! I can't begin to count the hours we logged in on the river. And how many hundreds of base ball games we played as kids . We lost a good man his heart was made of gold and always gave 100% . He will be missed...
