Jim Schermerhorn, Sr.

Jim Schermerhorn, Sr., 74, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Taylor House.

Jim was born Ocotber 28, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa.
He is survived by his three children, Carolyn Schermerhorn; Jim Schermerhorn Jr; and Kimberly Frosch; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandkids.

Jim worked two jobs retiring from R&R Donnally and Sons.

He enjoyed talking to people, fishing, working on cars and telling stories. Jim liked joking around and had a soft heart for all his kids.

He will be missed dearly and never forgotten.

Services will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday August, 27, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Memorial contributions in Jim’s memory can be made at the funeral home.
