Service Details
Jean Selden, 92, passed away on September 7, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 3829 Grand Avenue in Des Moines. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
Jean was born on January 27, 1922 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Charles and Dorothy Hedberg. She completed two years of formal education at Coe College and devoted her life to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Selden, Jr.; children, Carl (Cynthia) Selden, Jane Wagner, Nancy Bassett, and David (Elaine) Selden; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rev. Susan Banholzer; and brother, Bob Hedberg.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Jean. Our son Andrew Haigh went to high school with Jean's grandson, Dave Wagner. We know this is a sad time, but please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the phone call Dave. Take Care - Always, Carrie and Steve
