Edward C. Meyers I

Edward Charles Meyers I, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at his home in Boise, Idaho. Ed was born on September 9, 1942 in Omaha, NE. to Mary L. (Hansen) and Edward L. Meyers.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Krall; his children and step-children, Vera Meyers, Dawn Manard, Victoria Sears, Edward Meyers II, Maria Moore, Diana Trujillo, Darrell and Kevin Krall; siblings and step-siblings, Beverly Sue (Meyers) Patrick, Paula Meyers, Janice Reuter, Vicki Woods, Bonita Rood, David Meyers, John Meyers, Phillip Meyers, Randy Frey and Eldon Cole; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Donna R. Hooper, Lewis Meyers, Ronald and Vernon Cole.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2317 Watrous Ave. in Des Moines. He will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter. Family will greet guests on Sunday, September 21 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
