M. Jo Ann Higgins

Marilyn Jo Ann Higgins, 75, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was born September 29, 1938 to Harold and Francis Bryan.

Jo Ann worked many years at The Donald Corporation where she retired in 2012. She attended CrossPoint Church in Bondurant and was very active in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives. Jo Ann loved her kitties and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Dennis; children, David (Joyce) Higgins, Julie (Brian) Yatchak, and Michael (Lisa) Higgins; grandchildren, Derek, Dalton, Dylan, Brian, Katelyn, Jacob, Kaleb, Kylie, Tiffany, Cassie, and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Adam, and Gabriel; brother, Harold Bryan; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Dennis Jr.; and sister, June.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street, Altoona. Family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
