I am very sorry to hear this news. Kristy and I met in San Diego in 1976 and had a wonderful relationship for several years. Our lives went in different directions and unfortunately we did not keep in touch with each other. She always brought sunshine into the lives of her friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. May she rest in peace.

I can't believe that Kristy is gone. Kristy and I met in Estes Park, Colorado, at the Stanley Hotel in the spring of 1975. As you may have read from the other post, Kristy and her friend, Jeanne, traveled there from Iowa. I had come to Estes Park from Ohio with a friend of mine and we all worked at the Stanley and lived in dormitories on the property. (The dorms have since been torn down.) After living in the dorms for awhile a bunch of us decided to move into 3 small cottages on Prospect Road - where every night was a party. At one point Kristy became restless and decided to hitchhike back to Iowa for a visit. I went with her. We hitched to Des Moines where we stayed with her friends for a day or two then we hitched to Sioux City to stay with her family. I remember her mother very well. After a couple of days in Sioux City we hitchhiked back to Estes Park. We were lucky we didn't have any trouble along the way. I've never forgotten the time I spent with Kristy or the adventure we shared. I am so sorry to hear of Kristys passing and would like to extend my most sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Kristy and I travelled out west when we were young in my VW bus. We visited my sister in San Diego and would up getting a job at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. We had sooo many laughs and good times along the way. I lost touch with Kristy after I got married. She was the light that touched everyone she met. Her beautiful smile and eyes just lit up a room. I never forgot you Kristy. You are the sun and the moon and the stars. (Michael...please email me if you want to hear some stories of your mom when she was a young wild hippy!)

Yes Neil, this is the Kristy who's heart you broke. How different her life could have been had you loved her like she deserved.
