Charlotte Foley

Charlotte Ann Foley, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Charlotte was born December 29, 1931 in Hurdland, Missouri to Albert and Bertha Diekmann. She married Dan Foley in August of 1950, to that union, three children were born. Charlotte was devoted to her family and a homemaker by definition but also worked part-time as a bookkeeper. She loved gardening, flowers and was a true friend to all.

Charlotte was a dedicated lifelong child of our living Lord. She got up early every morning to pray and study God’s word. She set high standards and was a great example for her family.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Dan Foley; children, Daniel M. (Patti) Foley of Genesco, IL, Travis Foley of Des Moines and Tami (Royce) Johnson of Sacramento, CA; sister, Arlene (Bob) Jaques; and her brother, Albert (Nancy) Diekmann.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ernest.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 5615 SW 14th Street followed by burial at the Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
