Wayne Brooks

Wayne Brooks was born August 14, 1932 in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Arile and Lillian (Gentry) Brooks. He passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the age of 82.

He is survived by his loving brothers and their families: Gerald Brooks and his children Tom (Judie) Brooks, Deb Kirby and Larry (Fran) Brooks; Paul (Helen) Brooks and their children: Mike Brooks, Kristen Brooks, Kevin (Maria) Brooks, Matt Brooks and Sarah Brooks; and Dr. Kenneth (Martha) Brooks and their children: Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Brosnahan and daughter Kimberly and Mr. and Mrs. Derek Werner and daughter Karissa; and his dear friend Dann Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Madiline A. Brooks.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30 at Laurel Hill Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 3857 E 42nd Street, Des Moines.
