Tom W. Grimes, 62, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014.

Tom was born June 8, 1952 in Des Moines to James and Doris Grimes. He worked for the Wittern Group building vending machines for over 40 years. He is survived by his son, Matthew (Christina) Grimes; daughter, Molly Grimes; siblings, Becki (Bob) McChesney, Warren (Debbie) Grimes, Jerry Grimes, Robert Grimes, and Allen (DeAnna) Beck; two grandchildren with a third on the way; and his significant other, Cheryl and her son, Conner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines on Friday, October 3, 2014. Family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
