William "Bill" Osborne

William Kent Osborne, 64, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home in Des Moines. William was born September 7, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harvey and Dorothy Osborne. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

William is survived by his children, Darrek and his wife, Jill Osborne from Manilla, IA, Renee and her husband, Hank Chisolm, Alexander Osborne, and Timothy Osborne, all of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Bailey Chisolm, Katherine “Katie” Chisolm, Ethan Osborne, and Willow Osborne; and brothers, Harvey Osborne of Chandler, AZ, Tom Osborne of Topeka, KS, and Kelly Osborne of Urbandale, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Michael Lee Osborne; sister, Sally Thomas; and brother, Timothy Osborne.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., concluding with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
