Service Details
Milo Rockey, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 25, 2014. He was born on February 27, 1930 in Chicago, Ill. to Milo, Sr. and Grace (Peel) Rockey.
Milo was a US Marine serving in the Korean Conflict era and retired from the USPS after 33 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dolores; children, Milo, III (Lisa) and Scot Rockey, Robin (Jerold) Echer, Cathy Smith and Laurie Hicks; grandchildren, John and Ryan Rockey, Thomas Hicks, Tamara Smith and Lacey Echer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in infancy, Janice Lynn; and sister, Eleanore Robinson.
Memorial services will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave, Des Moines with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Private burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church and to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
