Winabeth “Arlene” Weaver, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, November 17, 2014 at Valley View Village.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, also at Hamilton’s, with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens.
Arlene was born May 29, 1924 to Arthur Chandler and Lenna Conn. She married Harold Weaver February 1, 1944 and had one child. She enjoyed the Iowa State Fair, camping trips with family and life-long friends, Prairie Meadows, scratch-off tickets, holiday traditions, and most of all, her entire family.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Gene) Jager; granddaughters, Michelle (Chris) Hewlett, Marie (Tim) Bougher, Marlene Burch and Martha (Brad) Carre; eight great-grandchildren, Reese Hewlett, Tara, Taylor and Denver Bougher, Bryce and Dominic Burch, Colby Fiscus and Kayla Carre; one great-great-grandson, Trey Edwards; sisters, Janice McCullough, Nancy Stevens and Linda Brown; and brothers, Keith (Becky), Charles and Gary (Libby).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold and six siblings.
