Linda Ann Reed

Linda Reed, 68, of West Des Moines, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist. She was born November 25, 1945 to Laverne and Laura Reed in Des Moines.

Linda enjoyed collecting Briarberry Bears, keeping up with her daytime TV shows, and going to dinner with friends. Linda also enjoyed traveling, visiting such places as Acapulco, Italy and England, but her favorite place to travel was Cincinnati, Ohio, to visit her grandchildren. Linda loved to sing, and you could often hear her beautiful voice around the house. Linda was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Group of the Shriners. She was a medical transcriptionist for Unity Point Iowa Lutheran until her retirement.

Linda is survived by her son, Dan (Katherine) Cox; her grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan; her boyfriend, Nick Medina; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
