Service Details
Gladys Loghry, 87, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Fountain West Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gladys was born on January 1, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa to Roy Clinton and Anna “Mae” (Rouse) Thornton. She married Wesley Loghry on November 9, 1945 and their marriage was blessed with four children.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Manley and Debbie (Roger) Jorgenson, daughter-in-law Barbara Loghry and son-in-law Lloyd Proctor; grandchildren Jeff (Terri) Crippen, Teri (Curt) Ford, Melinda (Layne) Wardenburg, Carrie (David) Okland, Jeremy (Sarah) Jorgenson, and James (Lindsey) Loghry; and 10 great-grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Wesley, daughter Sandra Proctor, son Dennis Loghry, one grandson, her parents and all eight of her siblings.
The family would like to thank Fountain West Health Center and St. Jude’s Hospice for the loving care provided their mother and grandmother. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League.
