Forrest Lowell Routh, 93, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa.
Forrest was born November 1, 1921 in Clarke County, the son of William and Goldie (McVey) Routh. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Forrest retired from Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel in 1986 where he had been a welder for many years.
Forrest is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Donna; daughters, Patricia (Mark) Austin and Roberta (Dave) Wendelboe; brothers, Donald (Clementine) Routh and Galen (JoAnn) Routh; sister, Shirley Richards; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a host of extended family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; sisters, Myrna Ruth and Mary Ruth; and his brothers, Maurice, Chester, Kenneth, Russell and Larry.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
**Due to the road construction on SW 9th Street, the entrance to the funeral home is off of Fleur or SW 14th Street to Kenyon heading east**

Best Father in Law one could ever ask for. True man of God to the very core of his soul. There are no words that have ever been written that can express how much I miss him already. He is a great man.
