Constance "Connie" Davis

Constance “Connie” Mae Davis, 72, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her home in Des Moines after a brave fight for many years with health problems.

Connie was born October 16, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa to Doris and Joseph Vignovich. She worked as an optician in the Des Moines area for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was very talented at painting on canvas. She liked playing the penny slot machines and fishing, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Terry Davis; children, Chris (Sue) Niffenegger, Rob (Becky) Niffenegger, Cindy (Jeff) Vander Linden, Sherry (Mike) Ziemer, Tony Davis, Jason (Tara) Davis and Adam (Jenny) Davis; fourteen grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia Becker, Betty Vucinic, and David, Jesse and Michael Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. A memorial service will begin at 11 am, Thursday, December 4, also at the funeral home.
