Nancy Lee Paulson

Nancy Lee Paulson, 81, of Johnston, Iowa, died on November 26, 2014. Nancy was born September 4, 1933 in Cook, Minnesota to George and Mary Schnorr. She graduated from Clintonville, Wisconsin High School in 1951 and went on to complete her B A degree from Bethel College, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1955. That same year she and Harris Paulson were married. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in 2014.
Nancy was very involved in the music programs of her churches and schools. She played the organ and piano and gave piano lessons for years. She worked outside the home and especially enjoyed her years working as library clerk at the Massillon, Ohio and Ashtabula, Ohio public libraries. She loved flower gardening, crafts and painting. But most of all she loved her Lord, her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harris of Johnston; her daughters, Brenda of Amelia, Ohio; Karen Johnson of Peoria, Arizona; Jenelle (Gerd) Clabaugh of Johnston; grandchildren Jacob (Ellie), Reed, Logan, and Madison Clabaugh, and Todd (Aly) Johnson, Chris (Heather) Johnson, and Lauren (David) Russell; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Coen, and Maxwell; as well as a sister, Kathryn (Andy) Frederiksen of Alpine, California. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Schnorr and one sister, Carol Callahan.
Following cremation she will be interred in the Clarks Grove, Minnesota, Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 30 at 4:00 PM at The First Baptist Church of Greater Des Moines, 8250 NW 62nd Ave. in Johnston, Iowa. Family will meet friends starting at 2:00 PM before the service.

Harris and Family, only Nancy could flash a smile like that. It always brought joy to our hearts when Bob could make her grin. Thank you for sharing our love and pain together. Godspeed.
