William “Willy” Emanuel Barberena

William “Willy” Emanuel Barberena, 20, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was born August 14, 1994 in Los Angelas, California.

Willy had a free spirit and lived life to its fullest. He was a happy, funny, entertaining guy who loved to make everyone laugh whether it be singing or joking around. Willy enjoyed swimming, riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, listening to music and going out dancing at clubs. He liked working outdoors, caring for horses, milking cows and going out to rodeos. Willy loved where he called home in Chilapa, Nayarit from the people to the beautiful outdoors. Above all else he loved spending time with his family and friends. Willy was the type of person where if you had the chance to meet him you would fall in love with him. He will be forever missed by all.

He is survived by his loving grandmother, Maria de los Angeles Martinez Uribe; mother, Claudia Barberena; step-father, Ivan Garcia; siblings, Jessica (Miguel) Fregozo, Carlos Enrique Guillen, Vianeth Guillen and (Vicente Garcia); nieces and nephews, Antwoine, Leanne, Ethan, Junior, Salome and Venesis.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Avenue, Des Moines. Willy will be laid to rest at Chilapa Nayarit Cemeterio in Chilapa, Nayarit, Mexico.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Willy.
