Marjorie Jean (Petersen) Wildrick was called to her Heavenly home Monday, December 15, 2014.

Marj was born January 2, 1927 in Elk Horn, IA the second child of Elmer and Anna (Jorgensen) Petersen. Marj was united in marriage to Jack E. Wildrick in 1948. Together they devotedly raised two daughters, Linda (Floyd) Cutshall and Sally Wildrick.

Following graduation from Des Moines East High School in 1944, Marj worked for the ISEA, Capitol City State Bank, and assisted in her husband’s business ventures.

Marj faithfully followed and served the Lord. Prayerful trust in God led her in a life of peace. She was a woman of grace who loved in deed and truth. Her soft spoken, loving, kind, heart of gold guided others to God.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters; grandchildren, Jared (Andrea) Cutshall, and Sarah Cutshall (fiancé Isaiah Janssen); siblings, Paul Petersen and Shirley (Vince) Caudle; and her brother-in-law, Donn McDonald.

Marj was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Juanita (Henry) Diaz and Arlean McDonald; sister-in-law, Tamea Petersen; brothers-in-law, Carl (Rhoda) Wildrick, Robert (Ruth) Wildrick and Paul (JoAnn) Wildrick.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Edgewater Retirement Community in West Des Moines, IA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 19 at 11:00 AM at Westkirk Presbyterian Church, in Urbandale, IA with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, IA.
