Norma Skinner

Norma Skinner, 89, passed away December 15, 2014, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was born April 3, 1925 in Percy, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Maggie Van Peursem.

Norma was united in marriage to Charles Skinner in 1945 and they were happily married until Chuck’s passing in 1991. She worked for Farmer’s and Savings Bank in Mitchellville for 50 years. She loved flowers and had countless friends.

Norma is survived by her loving sister, Margaret Myers; her nephews, Max (Nancy) Ingram, Melvin (Golda) Ingram, James Myers, and John (Launa) Myers; as well as her special friends, Joann Fry, Marie Miller, and Virginia Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Mitchellville Christian Church, 210 3rd Street NW, with burial to follow at Ashton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church.
Norma was preceded by her parents, husband, Chuck; and sister, Elizabeth Ingram.
