Ork Teav

Mr. Ork Teav, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was born September 6, 1936 and grew up in Cambodia. Ork served in the Cambodia military. He then came to the United States on June 6, 1984 and worked for Iowa Packing for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time.

Ork is survived by his son, Heng (Samin) Teav; daughter, Sophan Teav (Sokvandy Peou); grandchildren, Thomas, Tyren and Vannisa; and his two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Cremation will follow the ceremony.
