Carol Jean Jurovich

Carol Jean Jurovich, 77, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Carol was born October 24, 1937 in Des Moines to Merle and Letha (Speck) Newton. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Craig (Kristy) Nolan, Mike Nolan, Tammy Jurovich, and Kenny (Sheila) Jurovich; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sister, Sherry Andre. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norman Newton; husband, Phil Jurovich; and daughter, Cindy Jurovich.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines. Family will begin greeting visitors at 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice in loving memory of Carol.

Carol was our neighbor, and we very much enjoyed getting to know her over the 10 years we've been in the neighborhood. She was a beautiful lady with lots of class. Our condolences to her family. We hope your memories of her will provide comfort during this sad time.
