Bonnie Walker

Bonnie Darlene Walker passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Parkridge Care Center in Pleasant Hill with her loving family beside her. Bonnie was born on September 1, 1928 to Mary Pauline (Moulton) and Robert Wamsher in Des Moines.

Bonnie was united in marriage on December 31, 1947 to John D. “Jack” Walker. They were married for sixty years until his passing in 2008. To this union they were blessed with four daughters. Bonnie was a stay at home mom and loved the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Rosemary (Willard) Bacon of Des Moines, Jacalyn (James) Mathis of Maxwell, Janet (John) Ades of Norwalk and Terri (Chuck) DeAngelis of Truro; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Beth Waddell; and other loving family and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; and her seven brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. She will be laid to rest at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Cumming, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
