Gladys Inman, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 24, 2015. She was born August 18, 1918 to Julius and Nancy Pearson in Bloomfield, Indiana.
Gladys retired from Woolworths after 25 years of service at the age of 62. She was a member of Bethany Open Bible Church. Gladys will be remembered for her hosting of many birthday parties and Christmas gatherings. During the summers, she always enjoyed visiting family in Indiana. She will be deeply missed and loved.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara (Don) Terry; sons, George (Shirley) Inman, Jr. and Larry (Barb) Inman; 13 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; sons, Jearold Inman and Ronald Inman.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of the Good Samaritan Memory Care Unit in Indianola for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

My husband and I were her across the street neighbors. She was the neighborhood watch dog. if something or someone was around that shouldnt be she sure let you know. She was a joy to have as a neighbor. She will be dearly missed. We sure missed her when she had to move to nursing home. Halloween she always made sure she was out so the kids could get some candy. I always thought that was so sweet.
