Donna was one of my very best friends, that friendship began in 1970 when we moved across the street from Donna and Eddie --Lay Street in Des Moines. Larry was transferred to Des Moines as a management employee of UPS. Our friendship continued over all these years, plus each of us had 2 sons the same age. We had a chance to visit with Donna and Eddie last July when we were in Des Moines, then went out to eat together. It was a struggle for her to walk even a short distance. Donna told me then that her diabetes was taking a serious toll on her life, she was in so much pain, and she said "I am sure I will not be here next year at this time." We have been in Palm Springs, CA since Jan.9th, not able to get back to Des Moines for the funeral---but our prayers and hearts are with all of you during this very sad time. Donna was a super special lady and a very devoted friend. She will be missed by everyone her life has touched.
