Alma R. Croll

Alma R. Croll, 79, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Good Samaritan White Acres in El Paso, Texas.

Alma was born April 29, 1935 in Brownstown, Illinois to Izzi and Joseph Prohaska. She most recently worked for Oak Park School District.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, Iowa.

Alma is survived by her son, Gary (Lorraine) Croll; her daughter-in-law, Annette Croll; grandchildren: Brad (Emily) Croll, Jackie (Will) Gonzalez, Jeff, Valerie, Brenton and Whitney Croll, and Jason and Victoria Zielsdorf; great-granddaughter, Eliza Croll; nephew, John Prohaska; her nieces, Patricia and Rossanna Prohaska; as well as many cousins and other loving family members. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; daughter, Sharon; and son, Joseph.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Commission for the Blind in loving memory of Alma.
