Betty Whitten, 58, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was born July 2, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Kenyon; significant other, Ed Short; children, Cherail Kline, Brenda Johnson, Jay Mauck, Melinda Calhoun and Jason Zenor; and life-long friend of 45 years, Eve Scott.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Betty.

Even over the miles that kept us from being as close as I would have liked I will miss my sister. I feel in my heart that the Lord wanted to save her from any more pain and bring her Home. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all,

I am sadden by the lost of my mother, I tell myself she is no longer in pain, she reunited, brother, aunts and granparents, that have met her with open arms to guide her. She will me missed by all kids, Betty has left behind numerous brothers, 7 grand children, and 1 great grandson, she had the joy to meet a month ago. She was very loved by Ed and Angie, I really much appreciate everything they have done. My thoughts and prayers are with all, and look forward to seeing a cardinal soon.
