Liam Greenwood

On March 19th at 12:30 p.m. Adam and I, along with our family, welcomed a beautiful baby boy. William Michael “Liam” Greenwood weighed 6lbs 6oz and measured 19 1/2 inches long. “Liam” gained his angel’s wings and walked to the arms of our Lord, and was met by his Grandpa Bill, Grandpa Jim and his cousin Joe, on Thursday, March 19th.

For 35 weeks I was so blessed to carry that sweet baby, but God had a better plan for our baby. For those who didn't know “Liam”, he had kidney disease from 20 weeks till the day he walked home. Adam, myself and our family are so grateful and will forever be grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have gotten in the past few days, words can't express how grateful we are for the staff at Mercy Hospital, for all their kind words, to just sitting with us and talking, crying along and laughing with us. This is the hardest thing we will have to face these next few days but with the love and support of everyone around us I know we all will get through this.

“Liam” is survived by his parents, Adam and Lisa Greenwood; siblings, Emma Kelsey, Haylee Elaine, Hunter Wayne and Natalie Grace; paternal grandparents, Mark and Penny Greenwood; maternal grandparents, Jan Howard and Brian Fisher; great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to services.

Memorials may be directed to the family in loving memory of “Liam”.
