Mary Kellogg, 68, passed away peacefully Friday, March 20, 2015. She was born December 26, 1946 to Joseph and Evalyn Cervetti in Des Moines, Iowa. Mary attended nursing school and received her LPN and began her career at Broadlawns Medical Center. Mary enjoyed knitting, reading, playing bingo, and collecting dolls. Above all else she cherished her time spent with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul; daughters, Shondra (Jody) Mclaughlin, Dawn (Bob) Hickman and Gretchen (Allen) Ellefson; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Austin, Joey, Nicky, Allison, Alicia, Amber and Ashley; six great-grandchildren; brother, Rich (Kim) Richmond; sister, Nancy Hays; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 25th at the funeral home with burial to follow at Blair Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to The Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Mary.
