Service Details

Sylvia Mata-Blagg was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, March 20, 2015. She was 53, born on January 20, 1962 to Genaro and Juanita Mata in San Manuel, Arizona. She fought cancer until her very last breath. 2Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.”

Sylvia was a fighter and showed us all how to never give up. Even in the midst of demise and what could of easy been said as defeat she came out victorious cancer free.

Sylvia loved her family more than her own life. She taught her children how to give their lives to their own children just as she had done with her life.

Sylvia worked as a CNA for more than 20 years and poured her heart into
every day of work, caring for the sick and hurt and disabled. She was one
of the best and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Blagg; children, Vanessa Mata and Tyson (Sonia) Weber; step-son, Hunter Blagg; grandchildren, Thalicia, Rubi, Moises, Mia, Kitsia and Tyson Job; father, Genaro Mata Sr.; brothers, Genaro Mata, Javier Mata, and Michael Mata; sisters, Dalila Mata Gurrero, Mari Cruz Mata, Esperanza Mata Rendon, Gena Mata Fernandez, Juanita Mata Fernandez, Shantell Guijerro; and many nieces and nephews and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Hernandez Mata; and brother, Moises V. Mata.

If you could see me now you wouldn’t shed a tear.
Though you may not understand why I’m no longer there.
Remember my spirit that is the real me because I’m still very
Much alive, I’ve just been set free, Oh, if you could only see!
I have beheld our Father’s face and I’ve touched my Savior’s
Hand. All of Heaven’s angels rejoiced as I entered the promised
Land. Beyond the gates of pearl I’ve walked on the golden streets.
I’ve touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the
Crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words and nothing could
Compare, I’ve even seen your mansion and someday
I’ll meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because
His Word will show you the way! So please don’t
Cry because we will meet again someday.
