I worked at Union 76 with Travis, I was his shift manager. I have such fond memories of him. He was so ornery, what I like to call a real spitfire! My son Jeremy was about 8 back then, and Travis reminded me of Jeremy. He liked to act tough, but he was a marshmallow on the inside. I always liked to bring something to work on during break, one day I brought some coloring books. It was very slow one day, so I brought out the coloring books. I somehow talked Travis into coloring. He was halfway through his picture when he looked up at me & said " You better not tell anyone about this! " He did admit it was kind of fun. I never forgot that.
I did run into him at Ace hardware a few years ago, and he still could put a smile on my face!
I'm sorry I couldn't make the funeral, it's heartbreaking when it's someone so young. I hope the happiness he brought to others will help you through the coming days. My prayers and sympathies to his family at this time.

I went through school with Travis from elementary to high school. He was always out to make people laugh. I remember he broke his arm in 1st grade. He sat next to my desk and Mrs. McKee had me do all the writing for Travis on spelling tests since his arm was in a cast. My deepest sympathies to family and loved ones at this sad time. Remember the happy times and pull strength from your memories of Travis.
