I want to express my sympathies to Carl's children and sister Virginia.
My brother David and I were neighbors when they lived on Carroll Street. I enjoyed playing with Virginia even though I was older than her. Just this past week we viewed the old Carroll Street home of Carl and Virginia as it is for sale. As we went thru the home we recalled many things about the neighborhood. I would never have recognized Carl. My brother has gone to VA and may have seen him there but not recognized him. My brother also worked for the post office but also retired. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family.

I will always remember Carl for all the help he gave with Boy Scouts...both for his boys and all the boys he helped, and for my sons. Even though Tim and John are on opposite sides of the continent, I know he is in their thoughts and prayers.
My most memorable thoughts of Carl are from all the scout campouts he would always be there for. If you ever needed anything, and I mean anything, he seemed to have it in that old blue-green GMC truck, whether it be an ax, a wrench, or a left-handed smoke-shifter...Carl would always be able to produce whatever you needed at the time.
Rest in peace, brother- Godspeed your way!
