Service Details
Lois Vivian McCully was born in Litchfield, Minnesota to Frieda Beckstrand and Roland Reed on September 19, 1926 and died on April 14, 2015 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert McCully; her sister Nadine Woods of Johnston, Iowa; her two daughters Rev. Nicki Lyford of Dallas, Texas and Dr. Jo Weis of White Fish Bay, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathryn McCully-Lambertz and her son Scott McCully. Lois retired in 1990 from an active career as an executive secretary for the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Memorial donations can be made to Capitol Hill Lutheran Church's organ fund at 511 Des Moines Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50309. A memorial service will be held in May, date to be determined.

Dear Bob, Nicki, Jo and families, my thoughts are with you. I have such fond memories of how close our moms were when we were growing up and how much fun we all had together. Maybe your mom can find my mom in heaven and they can reconnect. They were both special ladies. My dad and I hope to see you in May at the memorial service. We're thinking about you.
